Role Overview
As a Genetic Counselor , you will play a vital role in assessing the possibility of inherited familial diseases occurring or recurring within families. Using patient and family medical histories, laboratory testing, and current research data, you will provide education, counseling, and support to help patients and families understand, adapt, and cope with the impact of genetically inherited conditions. You will also educate patients on genetic transfer, testing options, and care strategies, while empowering them to make informed decisions for themselves and their families.
