Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized teaching role is available for an educator skilled in working with students who are visually impaired. This part-time contract position serves an early childhood school setting, focusing on supporting young learners with unique visual needs. The assignment spans from August 11, 2025, through May 21, 2026.

Responsibilities for this role include :

• Providing tailored educational support and interventions for students with visual impairments.
• Collaborating with families, educators, and specialists to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
• Assessing student needs and adapting curriculum materials to enhance accessibility.
• Supporting a new kindergarten enrollee who may have visual impairment related to a prosthetic eye.
• Maintaining accurate records and munication with relevant parties regarding student progress.

Desired qualifications and experience :

This position is located approximately 85 miles south of a major metropolitan area in Texas and requires a mitment to part-time hours during the normal school year calendar.
