Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support K-12 students across multiple locations for the 2025 / 2026 school year. This full-time, 12-month contract position primarily focuses on middle school settings and offers flexibility for candidates open to hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to support student learning and development
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise regarding student needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
  • State certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working within K-12 educational environments, preferably with middle school populations
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, behavioral intervention strategies, and special education law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Flexibility to support multiple school locations and a hybrid work setting
