About The Position

Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 17 : 30); Day 4x10-Hour (07 : 00 - 17 : 30)

Hours per Shift : 8 to 10

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience

License : NC or Compact license required

Certifications : BLS; ARRT

Must-Have :

Minimum 2 years of experience in adult acute care

Traveler experience accepted for first-time travelers

Ability to float between different locations

Experience with the following skills : CT Simulation, MRI, PET Scan, Tumor Localization, Beam Modifying / Positioning, External Beam Therapy, IMRT, and others

Description :

The position is for a radiation therapist with expertise in various radiology and cardiology procedures.

Candidates will provide critical radiation therapy services to patients.

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out on-site.

Any call-offs or additional RTO could possibly lead to cancellation.

The clinic will work the Sunday before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and will be closed the Friday after.

This provides patients and staff with more time with their families during the holidays.

Therapists will work in a supportive environment where an MD and RN are onsite throughout the day.

Travelers will not be expected to cut blocks or perform CT simulations alone.

There will be opportunities to opt for 4x10-hour shifts if desired, but it is not mandatory.

The preferred experience includes proficiency with adult outpatient care and relevant imaging and simulation techniques.

The ratios for staffing are set at 1 : 5.

The candidate must be comfortable with floating and working collaboratively with other therapists.

Additional responsibilities may include working during catastrophic events and adhering to safety protocols.

All candidates must comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements as specified.

The contract may involve working two out of three major holidays.

RTO requests are limited and must adhere to the specified guidelines.

The candidate is expected to work a maximum of 5 consecutive days and / or no more than 60 hours in a week.

This role is essential in providing quality patient care and therapy throughout the duration of the contract.
