Job Details

  • The Seasonal Physical Therapist is responsible for implementing physician's orders for physical therapy services.
  • Provides all necessary aspects of physical therapy within an interdisciplinary environment to facilitate patient independence and safety.
  • Utilizes growth and development knowledge base in care of pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills appropriate to patient age and growth and development principles.
  • Assesses patient data to identify age-specific care requirements and provide needed care.
  • Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform patient evaluations using appropriate functional tests and measures.
  • Ability to assimilate objective measures with social factors, medical stability, activity restrictions, participation limitations, and comorbidities to determine functional deficits.
  • Ability to construct short-term, long-term, and personal / family goals with appropriate frequency and duration to establish therapy diagnosis and plan of care.
  • Ability to tolerate physically demanding tasks including moving equipment and patients using safety measures.
  • Proper and secure documentation in the Electronic Medical Record.
  • Critical thinking skills for patient evaluation and treatment planning.
  • Understanding of moist heat and other physical agent modalities as applied to practice areas.
  • Utilizes age-specific patient care indicators as necessary per plan of care.
  • Understanding of musculoskeletal, nervous, and integumentary systems with age-specific patient care indicators.
  • Ability to identify learning needs of patient or family members.
  • Works as a team member assisting patient / family at all points of entry into acute therapy care system.

  • Contract length is 13 weeks.
