Trumbull Industries, Inc., a recognized leader in the distribution of commercial / residential plumbing, industrial PVF and kitchen cabinetry, is currently seeking a Product Design Engineer for our Headquarters located in Warren, OH. Trumbull Industries has built a reputation by providing the highest level of customer service and we seek out employees that share this philosophy and excel at providing it.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop new products from concept through production, including 3D modeling, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sourcing, and manufacturing, to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency.
  • Create and maintain detailed CAD drawings and technical specifications.
  • Perform engineering analyses to verify design performance, materials selection, and structural integrity.
  • Participate in product improvement initiatives to enhance quality, functionality, and aesthetics.
  • Work with suppliers and factories to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
  • Support tooling development, product validation, and first article inspections.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in product design or mechanical engineering (experience in [your product category, e.g., bathroom fixtures, furniture, or appliances] is a plus).
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD).
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
