A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist II.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient and outpatient medical records to evaluate clinical documentation
Facilitate and obtain appropriate physician documentation to support the communication of patient care complexity
Assist in provider documentation initiatives and identify barriers and potential solutions
Required Qualifications
Clinical experience and knowledge of documentation and coding guidelines
Familiarity with CMS coding guidelines, MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, HCCs, ICD-10-CM / PCS, and AMA CPT coding conventions
Proficiency in Epic, Solventum, and Excel
Ability to adapt and self-motivate by staying updated on CMS rules and regulations
Experience working under supervision and managing work within a defined scope
