We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Lathe Operator to support our metal fabrication operations. This role involves setting up and operating CNC-controlled lathes using standard G-code programming and assisting with secondary machining and forming tasks. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities : Set up CNC-controlled lathes by studying work orders, setup sheets, and blueprints Load tools / molds and rollers into the machine as specified Configure blank centering devices and secondary hemming / trimming operations Arrange work cell and prep materials for blank circling and hole punching Monitor part quality by performing routine dimensional checks during production Program existing high-volume parts into the CNC lathes using G-code Maintain safety procedures and ensure adherence to all operational regulations Document production and quality control data accurately Additional Support Responsibilities (approx. 50% of workload) : Set up and operate hydraulic draw and punch presses Operate pneumatic punch and kick presses Use pneumatic trimming and beading machines Operate manual machining lathes to cut tooling used in production Qualifications and Skills : Ability to learn, set up, and operate CNC lathes Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills A true machinist mindset with attention to precision and efficiency Self-motivated and proactive; capable of working with minimal supervision Excellent teamwork and communication skills Education and Experience Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of CNC mill and lathe operation experience in a production setting Proficiency in G-code and blueprint reading strongly preferred
