Job Description

Position Summary :

Operates portable Carm during pain management procedures to produce diagnostic images for the physician.

Education, License & Cert :

  • High school graduate
  • Radiology Technician program Licenses Must be a registered and licensed radiology technician, meeting the requirements for registry by the ARRT (American registry of radiologic technology), and NYS; or temporary NYS license pending RT and LRT

Experience :

Minimum of six months experience as a registered radiology technician is preferred

Essential Functions :

  • Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating carm to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by the physician
  • Ensure health protective measures and radiation protection measures are established and employed
  • Fundamentals of radiographic positioning, principles of asepsis & sterile techniques 4. Good communication and interpersonal skills with physician, nurses, patients 5. Basic computer skills (enter patient data & extract patient information)
