About The Position

Must-Have :

• Experience with Varian Truebeam.
• Proficient in 2D, 3D, DIBH, IMRT, SBRT techniques.
• Ability to lead less experienced staff when necessary.

Description :

Performs duties to accurately apply ionizing radiation to patients of all age groups from pediatric through geriatric in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the radiation oncologist.

General certification requirements include BLS and ARRT.

The department includes one Truebeam treatment machine and one CT Simulator.

No floating to cover other areas is required.

Common types of imaging / studies performed include radiation therapy, simulations, and blocks.

The average number of scans / studies performed per day is 17-20.

EMR and PACS software used includes Aria, PACS, and Meditech.

The radiation supervisor is responsible for staffing and scheduling, as self-scheduling is not permitted.

There are no weekend, holiday, or call requirements.

The dress code is black scrubs, which are not provided by the department.

Required certifications include ARRT and BLS.
