In thisexciting and rewarding position, you will provide evidence-based care in anacademic ED setting to multiple patients of all ages with complex medicalconditions. Patient populations include adult, pediatric, psych, geriatric,trauma, STEMI and stroke. You will offer guidance to team members bysupervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will alsoassess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinicaleducation and promote effective working relationships. This involvescollaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals todevelop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed careinstructions. Join our team today!

Salary range : $59.46 - $88.40 Hourly

Qualifications

We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursingprofessional with :

  • Current valid California RN license, required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing witha BSN or MSN degree, required.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the AmericanHeart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • If not already obtained, either Advanced TraumaCare for Nurses (ATCN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is requiredwithin 6 months of start date.
  • One year of direct RN-based patient care in an EmergencyDepartment setting required.
  • Official Transcripts and / or original diplomafrom a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire.
  • Clinical skills include patient assessment, IVstart, knowledge of medications, IV infusions and airway management.
  • Ability to provide appropriate care for highacuity patients such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, psych, and pediatricpopulations.
  • Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventionson a consistent basis.
  • Ability to perform historical, physical andbehavioral patient assessments.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluatepatient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff.
