Job Description

Menomonee Falls company is looking for a Quality Engineer to be responsible for supporting and directing application of quality activities within the facility as directed by the Continuous Improvement Manager. The Quality Engineer is responsible for all Preproduction Quality Planning for designated customers and must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the Company Quality system. Must be flexible to fill in where needed in the department and to serve as backup to Purchasing Specialist.

Scope / Function of the Quality Engineer

Technical Documentation Specialist in folder development

Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

Gage R&Rs

Process Flow Charts

Manufacturing Quality Control Plans (MQCP)

Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Customer prints are bubbled either manually or using OCB functionality.

Review of print and verification of tolerances

Conversion to Discus files

Development of Excel Sheet used on the shop floor

Responsible for approval of all certifications, review, and filing.

Works closely with Support to assure all customer submittals are accurate and timely.

As the final technical review of the contract review process (duty sheet), responsible to assure all technical aspects of the contract review have been completed properly.

Perform Layered and Internal Audits.

Participating in and supporting ISO as required. Create and maintain departmental operating instructions.

Primary in Supplier / Outside Service Provider related IRRs.

Investigate supplier nonconformances, coordinate supplier SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action), and ensure vendor debits are applied properly.

Primary responsibility to coordinate the new supplier approval process.

Purchase of boxes, hardware, and shop order accessories .

Serve as backup for Purchasing Specialist.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years within a manufacturing environment, machining preferred. 2-3 years should be in quality administration and / or engineering.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, tools, and application (practical).

Experience with Corrective Action (CA) implementation and communication.

Certifications within Quality a plus.

Experienced with Microsoft Office-Word & Excel.

Experienced with TCM.

Ability to work well with people and remain courteous and tactful even in stressful situations with internal and external contacts.
