Director, Product Management – Elevate Product (EPX) – Capital One

Responsibilities
- Work closely with leaders in Product, Tech, and Business Analysis to develop and pilot a standard approach to building innovative products at Capital One, including processes, tools, and templates.
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for rolling out and continuously improving the product development life cycle at Capital One.
- Evaluate and eventually own product management responsibilities for internal or vendor‑owned product(s) to support the product development lifecycle.
- Coordinate with the Learning & Development team to integrate these elements into Product College trainings and resources.
- Lead one or more direct reports and work with cross‑functional teams, with the potential for growth.
- Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
- May manage and develop multiple analysts; coach and mentor associates to develop and retain talent.
- Partner with Product Managers, Design and Engineering to build the best products for Capital One and its partners.
- Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy.
- Work closely with colleagues across Capital One—including Tech, Product, Design, and others—to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- Bring a tenacious decision maker with strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity.
- Possess strong executive communication skills and the ability to drive agreement through influence and negotiation.
- Display an intense focus on achieving both short‑term and long‑term goals in an uncertain and fluid environment.
- Deliver results in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment; previous consulting experience is a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).At least 7 years of experience in analysis.Master’s Degree (preferred).2+ years of experience in financial services (preferred).1+ year of experience in product management (preferred).1+ year of experience in consulting (preferred).At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
