Job Overview – Medical Assistant (Temporary) :

Compensation : $21 / hour

Location : Philadelphia, PA

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM

Atlantic Group is hiring a Medical Assistant (Temporary) in Philadelphia, PA with our client. You will support physicians, nurses, and patients by taking vitals, rooming patients, updating records, and coordinating schedules in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This temp-to-perm role is ideal for a compassionate healthcare professional seeking hands-on clinical experience and the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities as the Medical Assistant (Temporary) :

  • Patient Support : Greet patients, record vital signs, and prepare exam rooms for procedures.
  • Clinical Assistance : Assist providers with exams, tests, and minor procedures while ensuring a clean, safe environment.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system.
  • Scheduling & Coordination : Manage appointments, follow-ups, and referrals with other departments.
  • Supplies Management : Monitor and restock medical supplies, ensuring proper inventory and equipment readiness.

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant (Temporary) :

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience : 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient, primary care, or specialty clinic setting.
  • Certification : Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skills & Attributes : Compassionate, patient-focused professional with strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills, thriving in collaborative environments.
