Position : TDIP – Cost Estimator V (PS1250)

Location : LAX – Terminal 5, Los Angeles, CA

Schedule : Full-time, Monday through Friday, on-site

Project : Terminal Development and Improvement Program (TDIP-84)

Duration : Long-term assignment

About the Role :

The Cost Estimator V provides comprehensive estimating and cost analysis services across various project phases, supporting both preconstruction and active construction activities. The position requires a strong understanding of design-build and CMAR delivery methods and the ability to lead and reconcile complex cost estimates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates for multiple scopes of work
• Direct and mentor other estimators or estimating teams as needed
• Review construction and design cost proposals and change orders to determine merit and accuracy
• Validate labor rates, markups, and material pricing in accordance with contract specifications and industry references such as R.S. Means
• Review contract documents and modifications to assess equitable cost allowances for scope changes
• Reconcile contractor, internal, and third-party estimates
• Maintain historical cost data and provide regular cost reports and variance explanations
• Serve as a liaison with project management, design, and construction personnel to ensure consistency and accuracy in estimating deliverables
• 20+ years of general estimating experience, with prior aviation or mega project experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Proficient in large-scale estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated knowledge of Progressive Design-Build and CMAR project delivery methods
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
