Job Title
Job Description : Ensure the safe and timely delivery of all customer-ordered merchandise, maintain outstanding customer service, and support store management team. Job duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on the needs of business. Duties / Responsibilities :
- Safely deliver, unload, load, and move products and merchandise legally, quickly, and efficiently to customers in accordance with all current safety standards.
- Operate a box van, pickup truck, forklift, pallet jack, or other assigned vehicles in a safety compliant and considerate manner while observing all state / local driving laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain clear / concise communication with customers and store staff to schedule deliveries.
- Perform deliveries and drop-offs with associate vendors in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
- Perform daily pre-and post-trip safety inspections of all equipment per the company checklist and follow up with any deficits or real-time alerts / malfunctions with the store management team immediately.
- Communicate with management and follow instructions as needed, including but not limited to : change in route, special requests, and / or equipment problems.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service to all customers and coworkers.
- Maintain knowledge of geography and demographics using appropriate store technology of the assigned area as well as contact persons at each store location.
- Adhere to gas credit card usage and track spending in accordance with proper company standards.
- Ability to count bundles, boxes, reels, coils, and pallets.
- Ability to perform minor emergency roadside repairs (ex : changing tires).
- Perform all sales associate duties and responsibilities while in store, including but not limited to :
- Greet and serve customers store-wide in a friendly, polite, and professional manner.
- Demonstrate or explain how to use merchandise to customers.
- Handle all customer concerns / complaints calmly and professionally : provide them assistance and additional information and escalate to management if needed.
- Actively participate in huddles, reviews, and training as assigned by management.
- Keep inventory at appropriate levels to maintain sales and customer satisfaction.
- Check in all merchandise against invoice / orders to catch shortages, damages, backorders, etc and alert management immediately.
- Recommend merchandise, product lines, or store stock that should be added or eliminated to enhance customer experience and store functionality.
- Write up all special orders accurately and submit to management in a timely manner.
- Alert management of suspicious activity / behavior.
- Perform cash register operations and maintain register with appropriate change levels.
- Perform all in-store services in a safe and effective manner (ex : key cutting, paint mixing, propane refills, etc.).
- Answer cashier calls for assistance.
- Maintain working knowledge of all in-store computer programs.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of trade magazines, manufacturer information, training courses, e-learning, etc.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements : Move and handle merchandise up to 80 pounds, ability to stand / sit for extended periods of time; walk, reach, and bend as needed. Must utilize appropriate safety equipment provided. High school diploma or equal, minimum of 18 years old, valid driver's license with clean driving record required. Hardware knowledge (preferred), forklift certification (preferred).
$15-$18 wage. Must be authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.
