Clerk- Sheriff's Office

Job Title

Performs a variety of basic and routine clerical duties with standard procedures. Examples include answering the telephone, assembling files, data entry, providing customer service and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED, 21 years of age; knowledge of modern secretarial practices and skills in computer software such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job duties. Ability to exercise independent judgment in assessing the urgency of requests. Must be willing to work different shifts, nights, weekends and holidays as assigned. Ability to establish rapport with staff members, department heads, the public and other officials. Typing at 45 words per minute. Must pass background check and CVSA Truth Verification test. Successful applicant is required to take pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Salary Range : $20.42 / hr.
