RN – Emergency Room (ER)

Location : 100 Hospital Dr, Montrose, PA 18801

Shift : Night Shift | 3x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Job Summary :

Endless Mountains Health Systems is seeking a compassionate and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a small community hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical access environments and be comfortable caring for patients across all age groups.

Key Details :

  • Unit Type : General Emergency Department (combined Adult / Pediatric)
  • Rooms / Beds : 7
  • Float : Occasional float to Med-Surg
  • First-Time Travelers : Accepted
  • Patient Population : Neonates through Geriatrics
  • EMR : Meditech
  • Medication System : Omnicell
  • Communication : SBAR

    • Responsibilities :

  • Provide emergency and urgent care to patients of all ages.
  • Perform EKGs and apply Holter monitors to ER patients.
  • Start IVs and manage IV therapies.
  • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and participate in code situations.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in Meditech.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

    • Requirements : Certifications :

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required
  • PA RN License – Required

    • Experience :

  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
  • Experience with ventilated patients preferred
  • Critical access or small hospital experience strongly preferred
  • First-time travelers welcome

    • Skills :

  • Cardiac monitoring & emergency response
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • IV therapy and phlebotomy
  • Triage and rapid assessment

    • Equipment / Procedures :

  • EKGs, Holter Monitors, Defibrillators (Dextro), Medication Administration

    • Additional Information :

  • Scrubs : Any color (except camouflage or denim)
  • Non-Trauma Facility
  • Small, collaborative team environment
