Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has multiple exciting opportunities for Senior Systems Safety Engineers Software Safety Engineers across various Proprietary Phantom Works / Air Dominance programs in Hazelwood or Berkeley, MO

The selected candidate will provide the technical guidance and perform critical System Safety or Software Safety Engineering work. The work will consist of planning, coordinating, and performing detailed System Safety tasks such as system and subsystem hazard analysis, fault tree analysis, and software safety analysis to mitigate potential product safety hazards.

Position Responsibilities :

• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Perform various analyses and integration activities to optimize total system of systems architecture for Software Safety
• Identifies, analyzes, and assesses regulatory and / or contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services against the applied development and design assurance standards (MIL-STD-882E, JSSEH, DO-178, DO-254) to provide the necessary hazard mitigation evidence
• Analyze software to identify potential failure conditions or investigate reported in-service fleet hazards, risks, and safety concerns
• Identifies safety issue systemic root causes and recommends corrective actions using industry best practices (MIL STD-882E)
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate safety requirements
• Verifies that the system meets or exceeds the defined safety requirements by conducting safety analyses, audits, and reviews
• Demonstrates safety hazard risk mitigation and control methods to the customer and regulators
• Resolve multi-functional technical issues

Summary Pay Range : $119,850 - $162,150
