Salary : $85,000.00 - $95,000.00

Summary : The Quality Manager is responsible for driving quality programs for the facility. The role is primarily day shift with the flexibility to flow to business needs which need to be driven across the shifts. The Quality Manager will be responsible for representing the company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase customer satisfaction and related profitability. The Quality Manager will be responsible for driving daily management of ongoing operations including performing risk assessments, training, lead 3rd party audits and providing feedback to all employees and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures related to the implementation of cGMP practices throughout the cultivation and manufacturing divisions.
  • Lead the quality team, ensuring they understand the importance of their roles and foster an environment aligned to achieving quality standards.
  • Ensure site compliance with all quality program requirements, policies and procedures related to the operation of the State of Missouri's METRC system.
  • Partner with the Director of Quality, Directors of Manufacturing & Cultivation and People & Culture in response to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct; develop and monitor a system for uniform handling of such violations.
  • Identify potential quality defects and risks; develop and implement corrective action plans in partnership with managers.
  • Work with Human Resources to develop an effective quality training program for new and existing employees and managers.
  • Direct management of all Site Quality Assurance programs and ensure adherence to cGMP standards, quality policies and procedures.
  • Write, update, and maintain SOPs for the Quality Assurance Program related to Manufacturing.
  • Lead site external and internal audit processes and manage QA activities to ensure specifications are met and product disposition is timely.
  • Manage the QA function to ensure products, processes and documentation meet internal and external requirements through adequately identified processes and documentation.
  • Manage non-conformances and implementation of corrective actions, ensuring timely closure of outstanding actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis for site quality outages, customer complaints and adverse effects.
  • Review and approve Master Batch Records for release.
  • Track and trend internal KPIs, including quality alerts and external quality incidents.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Quality Assurance experience in the food manufacturing industry
  • Lean or Manufacturing Excellence experience
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of quality requirements
  • Analytical abilities to detect patterns, identify trends, and interpret data for continuous quality improvement
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Supervisory Responsibilities

    Directly supervise the work activities of others and contribute to selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development. Provides on-the-job training and guidance.

    Education and Experience

    Degree (AA, AS) or two years of equivalent job-related experience.

    Physical Demands

    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Comfortable working in a secure, regulated environment.
