Job Title : Tool Crib Attendant
Department : Manufacturing
Reports to : Service Manager
Summary
The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for all inventory related tasks for the shop and field. This position requires someone with experience and knowledge of industrial equipment, parts, and tools. A successful candidate must have the ability to maintain inventory, organize equipment, parts, and tools, as well as diagnose and properly repair power tools, such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.as needed.
Success Criteria & Measurement
Performs all work in a timely manner
- Safely uses all equipment, such as tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.
- Works as part of the team helping in other areas as needed, such as Material Handling, Paint, etc.
- Understand and use various industrial parts, tools, and equipment
- Work with limited supervision and in a clean and organized manner
Responsibilities
Receives shipments, confirms counts and inspects for damagesLoading and unloading trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranesEnsuring that ISI company trucks and onboard tools are properly signed out, checked in, and periodically auditedAssembling company toolkits and ensuring they are signed out, checked in, and periodically auditedDiagnosing and properly repairing power tools, such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.General housekeeping of parts and tools in the crib and other assigned areasOccasionally making deliveries to customer / job sitesPerforms other duties as assignedPhysical Demands
Must be able to complete the essential functions of this position : stand, walk, climb, crouch, stoop, kneel and, bendMust be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time on a regular basisOperating tools, performing mechanical or skilled trade tasksThe position is subject to environmental conditions and many work outside work in all weather conditionsQualifications
High School degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of related experience working with industrial mechanical equipment, parts, and toolsStrong organizational skills requiredAbility to work weekends and overtime as neededAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsComputer literacy requiredDeadline and detail-orientedISI is an equal opportunity employer.
