Overview

Job Title : Software Engineer II / III

Duration : 3+ Months

Rate : Up to $70 / hr on Vendor W2 Try to be competitive rate (based on experience)

Location : Onsite in San Jose, CA (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) - (In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend components
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Collaborate with team members on design, testing, and solutioning
  • Participate in backend-focused development (approx. 90% of role)

50% development

  • 30% testing and team collaboration
  • 20% solutioning and other tasks

    • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 35 years of backend development experience
  • Strong foundation in programming concepts and data structures
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language : Java, Python, Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with Java EE technologies : Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA
  • Solid understanding of web services and SOA standards : REST, OAuth, JSON
  • Experience with ORM tools (e.g., Hibernate)
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with large-scale, distributed, high-performance systems
  • Exposure to AI / ML technologies

    • Top 3 Must-Have Skills (Ranked)

  • Java Development 35 years
  • Testing Strategies including mocking frameworks
  • Design Skills Microservices Architecture, SQL
