Position Title : Manager, Quality & Continuous Improvement Supervisor : Director of Operations Department : Operations Location : Wilmington, MA Pay Rate : $110-$125K Schedule : 8am-5pm Travel : Position Overview A leading manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking a Manager, Quality & Continuous Improvement to lead the quality function across the company. This role ensures compliance with internal quality systems and customer expectations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between internal teams, external partners, certification bodies, and customers on all quality-related matters. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for quality assurance across the organization, ensuring systems are understood, implemented, and maintained by all departments. Lead and manage the non-conforming product process, including incidents, recalls, and rejected product investigations. Coordinate product return and evaluation activities, ensuring proper root cause analysis and resolution. Act as liaison with external registration bodies and customers regarding audits, compliance, and quality issues. Host and manage external audits, including registration and customer audits; ensure audit readiness and timely closure of findings. Conduct internal ISO and quality system audits and manage the internal audit program. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective / preventive actions, Kaizen). Lead monthly quality meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote awareness and accountability. Facilitate management review and planning meetings to track progress on quality objectives and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain quality procedures, standards, and control documentation to ensure compliance and consistency. Champion a culture of quality excellence and performance improvement across the organization. Support corrective and preventive action processes to ensure timely and effective implementation. Perform routine inspections and quality checks to ensure standards are met. Experience Requirements Education : Bachelor’s degree, Quality, Operations, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred Experience : 5–8 years of progressive experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification required Skills & Competencies : Proven experience hosting and responding to external audits Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, 8D, FMEA) Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels Experience in both office and warehouse environments; occasional travel required Ability to occasionally lift / move up to 25 pounds Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during audits and inspections FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
