Description :
This is a new stand-alone Emergency Room and Urgent Care facility opening soon.
The facility will have 8 rooms, including 1 trauma / resuscitation room and a designated triage room.
It is expected to see around 90-100 patients per day, with approximately 60% of cases being urgent care level and 40% being emergency level.
ER nurses will need to manage their own ER holds for brief periods due to the limited number of beds.
All admissions will be transferred to the main hospital as soon as possible.
There is in-house security available 24 / 7.
The patient to RN ratio will be 3 : 1 for emergency patients, with varied ratios for urgent care patients.
Position requires the ability to work evening shifts and every other weekend.
Rotations for holiday coverage will be required among staff.
Nurses will be responsible for drawing blood, and there is access to X-ray and CT services on-site.
There will be no call or standby requirement for this position.
Scrub colors are flexible, allowing for any color scrubs.
