OVERVIEW :
The Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for overseeing sales and margin forecasts, financial analysis and a key contact for decision support for the eCommerce leadership. This includes diagnostics on performance, and strong collaboration with the eCommerce, Merchandising, Analytics, and Marketing teams. This role will also lead analysis of any strategic growth sales initiatives and provide development of direct reports.
Forecast and Budget :
- Oversee the daily merchandise sales and margin forecast leveraging trends, expectations for product launches, and promotional / clearance activity
- Analyze significant variances to forecast, determine drivers, and future implications
- In conjunction with the eComm business, develop the annual budget including drivers of planned sales & margin growth
Business Analytics and Reporting :
Preparing executive facing business performance updates, including but not exclusive to identifying key business trends and risk / opportunities in short and long term Leverage our data warehouse to identify key performance drivers, marketing effectiveness, change in traffic sources and devices.Lead discussion on sales / margin insights with key stakeholders and business leaders (Monthly Business Review, PAR / Finance meeting)Reporting and Process Improvements :
Oversee weekly & monthly sales and margin reporting inclusive of business insights as well as supporting BOD and Earnings Call deliverablesOwn gross margin decomp reporting including enhanced views of operational drivers (i.e., full price, item discount, flash sale, etc.) to provide increased visibility and ownership of margin diluting itemsLead eComm Merch FP&A team through efforts to increase efficiency and improved processes across reporting, forecasting, and budgetingAdditional Responsibilities :
Provide financial guidance to ecommerce leadership on value of promotions / events for business planning and forecasting purposes, and completing post-mortem financial analysis of promotions / eventsSales and margin strategic initiative planning & support (Tech / eComm) assisting with initial valuation and prioritization work, validating initiative results and outcomes, incorporating results into financial modelingLead and develop direct reports and serve as a mentor to other FP&A analysts / peers
