Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in a surgical setting requiring every other weekend coverage and a valid SD or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Position located in a surgery unit within a hospital environment
  • Primarily responsible for assisting in surgical procedures in the Operating Room
  • Day shift with 10-hour shifts and every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating may be required based on skill set
  • Provide perioperative nursing care in the OR
  • Assignment is 13 weeks in length
  • Must adhere to dress code and scrub requirements as determined by the facility
  • Candidates who have previously worked at related facilities may require additional eligibility verification
  • Travelers may only work up to 780 hours in the past 12 months and must take a 12-month break after two assignments before returning

    • Requirements

  • Active SD or compact RN license
  • Current BLS certification required
  • COVID and Flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exceptions accepted
