Job description

Roofer - Per Diem Offered

We are hiring experienced Flat Roof Journeymen for 4 weeks on a military base in Jackson, Florida. The scope includes tear-off, cold apply, and membrane installation over standing seam metal roofs. Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and equipped with their own tools.

Journeyman : $26-28 / hour + $100 / day per diem (7 days / week)

Responsibilities :

  • Perform tear-off and cold apply roofing work
  • Install membrane systems on standing seam metal roofs
  • Lead or assist with daily crew operations (Foreman role)
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site
  • Ensure work meets quality and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with team and supervisors
  • Track daily progress and report issues as needed

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in commercial flat roofing
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • No felony convictions (required for military base access)
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various conditions
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
