We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to be part of our team in Orange, California. This full-time position offers a competitive salary, exceptional benefits, and a supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, your role will involve conducting a wide range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
Operating and ensuring quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment, such as gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, and dose calibration devices.
Performing PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on a PET/CT scanner, which includes administering CT contrast media and acquiring images.
Assisting in the qualification of scanners for research trials by carrying out necessary scans and procedures.
Developing and programming study-specific protocols for administration, imaging, and reformatting, as directed by the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and Medical Director.
Delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring prompt completion of all exams.
This position may require on-call availability to support our team and patients as needed.
Required Qualifications
A graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with at least one year of full-time experience as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
Current and active California CNMT license.
Current and active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine.
Current BLS certification.
Familiarity with state regulatory radiation safety practices and ALARA principles.
Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
The capability to establish and maintain productive relationships with colleagues throughout the Health System.
A strong work ethic and the capacity to handle workloads efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures.
Understanding of university and medical center policies, procedures, and forms.
