Licensed Practical Nurse Registered Nurse (LPNRN)

We are hiring a Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (RN / LPN) for one of our clients in Federal Way WA .

Job Description :

We are looking for a caring and professional Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a School Nurse in Washington. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students and staff promoting a healthy school environment and collaborating with teachers and administrators to ensure the well-being of the school community.

Responsibilities :

• Provide direct care to students and staff for illness injury and chronic health conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Assess and evaluate the health needs of students and develop individualized healthcare plans as needed
• Monitor immunization compliance and conduct health screenings
• Educate students staff and families on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices
• Collaborate with teachers administrators and healthcare providers to support students with special health needs
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Participate in school safety and emergency preparedness plans
• Stay current on best practices in school nursing and healthcare regulations
• Qualifications :
• Current Washington State RN license
• Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• School Nurse certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school setting
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school health services.
