Capital Construction Project Manager
King County Housing Authority is seeking an experienced Capital Construction Project Manager to lead capital construction projects from start to finish. Reporting to the Capital Construction Program Manager, you will manage staff and contractors, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
Key responsibilities include defining scopes of work, reviewing plans for constructability, managing procurement through competitive bidding, and administering contracts through closeout and warranty. You will coordinate with project teams, property management, and resident services to minimize disruption and maintain safety, while driving process improvements across the construction program.

All methods, procedures, policies and activities related to capital improvement programs and asset management.
Ability to :
Understand, interpret, explain and apply policies and procedures
General knowledge of Practices, methods, materials and tools used within the maintenance systems within residential and commercial properties
Skill in planning, project management, supervision, and technical writing
Thorough understanding of and sympathy with Social, economic, health and emotional needs of families of low income

Application Requirements : To be considered for this opportunity, you must :
Salary & Benefits : The complete salary range is $104,794.00 to $154,046.99, with a midpoint of $129,420.00. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint; however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market. Salary is negotiable. Performance based merit increase opportunities and COLAs are reviewed on an annual basis. A comprehensive health care benefits package for you and your dependents includes medical, dental and vision insurance, life and long-term disability insurance plans, vacation, sick and personal leave, reduced tuition, and retirement benefits are also available.
After initial onboarding, this role will have the opportunity to work remotely up to 20% in accordance with the KCHA's flexible work arrangements; however, remote work conditions will be reviewed on a regular basis based on business and program need. Employees must reside in Washington State and have the ability to report to the Central Office in Tukwila as required based on business need. Some local travel may be required to support KCHA business needs.
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires sitting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and / or small parts, using of measuring devices, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires wet, humid conditions (non-weather), working near moving mechanical parts, working in high, precarious places, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and exposure to outdoor weather conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
