Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Surgeon to join our esteemed healthcare team. This opportunity offers a chance to build a successful practice in a vibrant, growing community with clear evidence of substantial patient demand.

Position Highlights :

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, with a manageable call schedule of 7 days per month.
Patient Volume : Opportunity to manage approximately 40 patients per clinic day, reflecting the robust demand for surgical services.
Location : Midlothian, VA, is a thriving area within Chesterfield County, providing an excellent quality of life with access to top-tier educational, recreational, and residential amenities.

Role Responsibilities :

Conduct comprehensive pre-operative consultations with patients, outlining surgical options and expected outcomes.

Perform a range of surgical procedures to address various conditions, including injuries, diseases, and deformities.

Assess patient conditions and determine the most appropriate surgical interventions.

Monitor and manage post-operative recovery, including prescribing necessary treatments and therapies.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Maintain precise medical records and documentation for all surgical procedures.

Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications :

Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid license to practice as a Surgeon in Virginia.

Completion of a residency program in General Surgery.

Board certification in General Surgery preferred.

Proven experience in General Surgery with a strong track record of successful outcomes.

Exceptional surgical skills with the ability to perform a wide variety of procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
