As a Field Services Engineer, you will be an essential part of our team, serving as the face of Vantive in clinical and hospital environments. Managing your assigned territory, you will engage in the installation, maintenance, repair, and training associated with a variety of advanced medical devices. If you enjoy tackling complex technical issues, building relationships with customers, and thrive in a hands-on role that requires independent decision-making, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a variety of electro-mechanical medical devices while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions using your analytical skills.
Manage service calls and preventive maintenance schedules efficiently to meet service level agreements.
Maintain precise documentation of all service activities, ensuring equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
Order necessary parts and maintain inventory controls for service and maintenance needs.
Train and guide customer staff on equipment operation, inspection techniques, and maintenance procedures.
Maintain clear and effective communication with customers regarding service status and solutions.
Represent Vantive professionally through positive customer interactions and appearance.
Mentor junior technicians and foster a collaborative working environment by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Participate in installation projects and organizational initiatives, potentially taking a lead role when needed.
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations while managing delicate equipment.
Travel extensively to provide technical support, training, and participate in meetings at various sites.

Required Qualifications :
Experience in biomedical engineering or similar fields, with skills in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of medical devices in compliance with safety standards.
Adept in handling independent tasks and managing your own service territory effectively.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on professionalism and customer service.
Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Capability to comply with PPE protocols and meet physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time, including overnight stays, and have a valid driver’s license.

Experience and Education :
Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical area.
Alternatively, an associate’s degree in a non-related field with at least 3 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
BMET certification with 3+ years in electro-mechanical troubleshooting is also acceptable.
Completion of a military program in electrical or biomedical equipment technology is a plus.
Previous field service experience is preferred.
