Job Summary
The Graduate Student Financial Support Unit of Graduate Studies (GS) functions as the campus unit responsible for graduate student and postdoctoral fellowships, including those from external sources : private agencies, non-profit organizations, and government institutions. The External Fellowship Analyst serves as one of two campus representatives managing external fellowships and providing outreach programs and services to the "graduate community" of over 4,700 graduate students and over 900 postdoctoral scholars. The incumbent has demonstrated skills to independently analyze complex, institutional, external, fellowship applications for academic graduate students and postdoctoral scholars; use professional judgment to review and approve high dollar, complex, external fellowship agreements; use creativity and decision-making skills to comprehend and interpret fellowship terms and regulations for post-award negotiations for $10 million annually in external fellowships and $1 million annually in GS Dean's Matching funds; recommend, develop, and implement processes and policy guidelines; and disseminate funding information campus-wide.

UC Davis is a smoke and tobacco free campus effective January 1, 2014.
