Job Description We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide quality care on an acute care unit specializing in orthopedic and genitourinary patient populations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various required nursing skills while maintaining high levels of patient care and safety. Responsibilities Manage patient care with a focus on orthopedic procedures such as post-operative knee and hip replacements. Administer medications and treatments including blood transfusions, PCA pumps, and wound vac changes. Titrate heparin drips according to institution protocols. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Provide patient education and support to facilitate recovery. Document in the EMR system accurately and efficiently. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN License. BLS Certification required. Experience with transfusion management and wound care preferrable. Familiarity with nursing protocols and best practices in an acute care setting.
