Job description

Residential Superintendent Overview :

The Construction Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects.

Essential Job Functions, Qualifications & Requirements :

Expertise in site development and residential construction methods.
Ability to maintain respectful relationships with on-site inspectors, owners and sub-contractors.
Monitors the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract, specifications and procedures.
Ability to obtain proper permitting.
Prepare 2-week look ahead schedules and develop work plans to maintain the schedule.
Supervise on-site personnel.
Handle on-site paperwork for project, including daily work reports.
Conduct safety training.
Valid California drivers license.

Required Skills :

Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word and Outlook required.

5+ years of experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of principles, practices and codes for residential construction.

Detail oriented and organized.
