Overview

Join to apply for the Engineering Co-op role at Daikin Applied Americas . Daikin Applied is hiring for an Engineering Intern in Plymouth, MN. Location : Plymouth, MN in office 5 days per week. Timeline : This co-op opportunity is for May - December 2026.

Responsibilities

  • You will select a relevant Engineering project proposal to own and influence.
  • Project proposals may include but are not limited to the following :
  • Research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of the design or application.
  • Design / test products or systems such as instruments, controls, fan coil, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.
  • Work with fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and develop methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or related CAD software.
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Successfully completed Thermodynamics I, and Fluid Mechanics.
  • GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; 3.5 or better preferred.
  • Reside within a 300-mile radius of our Plymouth, MN office.
  • Compensation

    The typical hourly pay rate for this position is $24 / hr - $27 / hr . This pay range applies to roles at the same job grade; individual base pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
