Environmental Supervisor

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking an Environmental Supervisor to join our team at the Ford Rouge Complex located in Dearborn, MI . This individual will be responsible for handling hazardous waste at the plant, overseeing and coordinating environmental management programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Shift : 3rd

Schedule : Friday, Saturday, 6 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m. and Sunday, Monday, 6 : 00 p.m. - 4 : 30 a.m.

Responsibilities and Job Duties :

• Develop TIS and review safety documents with the crew routinely, evaluating hazards and enforcing precautions, procedures, and PPE.
• Inspect equipment and tools, removing damaged or malfunctioning items from service.
• Support the crew with equipment, tools, materials, and supplies.
• Act as a liaison with customers or clients.
• Prepare and submit reports as directed by management.
• Make recommendations on equipment purchases, personnel needs, and maintenance.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Wear appropriate safety gear, including respirators, when handling hazardous waste.
• Load and unload semi-trailers, tanks, and roll-off boxes for disposal.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and document findings.
• Maintain organization and compliance in the Hazardous Accumulation Area.
• Respond to chemical spills, managing cleanup and disposal properly.
• Assist with waste pickup, organization, and supply delivery.
• Inspect waste storage and emergency equipment, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Inventory and inspect waste spill kits.
• Maintain documentation of waste activities.
• Operate forklifts for loading and unloading trucks.
• Follow all safety guidelines pertinent to the plant.
