CT Technologist II

Base Pay Range : $36.05 - $54.08

Job Description :

The CT Technologist II is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Thursday 11am-9 : 30pm at Holy Family Imaging Center. This position is eligible for a $2.25 evening shift differential after 5pm.

Summary : To obtain the safest and highest quality CT exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a radiologist per established Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols.

• Independently performs CT studies that meet or exceed the standards set by the interpreting radiologist(s)
• Follows established protocols for individual CT examinations Uses professional judgment to reconstruct images as needed to enhance study for interpretation
• Ensures proper radiation dose to patient and to obtain a quality exam
• Communicates with the Radiologist as needed to protocol exams.
• Prepares equipment and room for exams :

Assists in the transportation of patients as needed

Obtains detailed patient history to aid the radiologist in making a diagnosis

Uses universal precautions with all patients.

Builds patient exam work list

Holy Family Site Specific Skillset

Sets up sterile tray for all procedures

Angiography : code stroke carotid, AAA, vascular studies

Qualifications :

Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program required

Anatomy and medical terminology preferred

Must pass ARRT (CT) boards within 12 months of Technologist being trained, working independently and signed off with a current competency checklist

Imaging Incident reports.

Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
