Storekeeper (Immediate Opening) Purchasing Department

Reports to : Director III Purchasing & Distribution

GENERAL PURPOSE

The job of Storekeeper requires an organized and detail-oriented employee who will assist in providing support to all operations in our distribution this position you will play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of our inventory stock including ordering receiving and maintaining inventory as well as providing support with the movement of equipment and supplies to and from District buildings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintains receipts records and withdrawals from the inventory.
• Receive unload and shelve supplies.
• Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
• Perform other stock-related duties including returning packing pricing and labeling supplies.
• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies : report those to purchasing for reimbursements and record keeping.
• Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses.
• Coordinate the handling of freight the movement of equipment furniture supplies and necessary minor repairs.
• Performs other related duties as required / assigned.
