HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is seeking a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR / L) to join a highly specialized classroom serving 8 neurodivergent students with moderate to severe Autism Spectrum Disorder . This role is based at a private, independent school in Belmont, CA that offers an exceptional staffing model, integrated therapeutic support, and a deeply individualized approach to student care.
Pediatric Occupational Therapist, OTR / L Responsibilities :
- Work Monday - Friday, 8-5; some shorter and some longer days; salaried
- Provide direct and consultative services to students ages 5–7 with complex needs
- Support students ages 5-7 with moderate to severe ASD
- Student services include non-verbal children
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Focus on sensory regulation, motor skills, and adaptive functioning
- Join a collaborative team of RN, BCBA, PT, teachers, and paraprofessional in one classroom
- Conduct assessments and implement sensory diets, fine and gross motor interventions, and environmental adaptations
- Support students' access to learning through positioning, mobility, and functional task engagement
- Participate in team meetings, data collection, and interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Educate and model strategies for classroom staff to reinforce therapeutic goals
- Promote a trauma-informed, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
Pediatric Occupational Therapist, OTR / L Requirements :
Active California OT license (OTR / L) – requiredMaster's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy – requiredMinimum 3 years experience with moderate to severe ASD childrenExperience with non-verbal childrenExperience supporting students with autism, sensory processing, or complex developmental needs (required)Strong documentation, assessment, and communication skillsFull-time, year-round availability Monday–Friday on school daysMust pass criminal background check and fingerprinting (required)Reliable transportation and ability to report onsite daily in Belmont, CA 94002Pediatric Occupational Therapist, OTR / L Compensation :
