Job description

GHR Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room for a local contract nursing job in Towson, Maryland.

Pediatric ED RN

Provides emergency care to infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute, urgent, and life threatening conditions. Delivers rapid assessment, stabilization, and family centered care in a fast paced pediatric emergency environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform pediatric focused triage and determine acuity based on clinical presentation
  • Provide immediate interventions for trauma, respiratory distress, fever, seizures, allergic reactions, and other pediatric emergencies
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and assist with procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, and respiratory treatments
  • Monitor patient condition and reassess frequently in a dynamic, high stress setting
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with families, addressing concerns and explaining care plans
  • Collaborate with pediatric emergency providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient flow
  • Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately

    • Requirements :

  • Active state RN license or compact license if applicable
  • Minimum two years of Pediatric ED or pediatric acute care RN experience
  • Strong pediatric assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills

    • Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K offered.
