As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform essential imaging procedures such as X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, and Surgery while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. You will be the first point of contact for patients, helping to facilitate their imaging needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain a professional image by adhering to the established dress code.Maximize job potential through attendance at mandatory education and in-service programs.Be punctual and manage time effectively in accordance with hospital standards.Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations regarding patient records.Maintain accurate and timely records for Medical Imaging patients, including Radiology, Vascular, and Echo Lab.Assist with filing and distribution of Radiology reports in the absence of office personnel.Perform administrative duties as needed when office staff is unavailable.Technical Responsibilities :
Accurately identify patients and review requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnoses.Record essential data on radiologic requisitions.Assess patient conditions and ensure safety using appropriate devices.Review examinations for technical accuracy and communicate important data post-procedure.Ensure proper anatomical orientation and film identification on all images.Utilize the computer system to document patient information accurately.Organize patient care according to established priorities set by physicians.Participate in training and orientation for new team members.Ensure patient comfort and safety by following established protocols.Requirements :
Graduation from an accredited / approved school of radiology.Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.A valid Illinois Radiology license.CPR / AED and CT certifications are a plus but not required.Physical Demands :
