Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Oncology team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will practice independently, delivering both routine and complex care while demonstrating a thorough understanding of clinical situations. Your ability to develop long-range goals and manage clinical contingencies is essential as you provide exceptional care for patients in need.
Responsibilities :
- Exhibit proficiency in applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, in line with your level of practice.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, closely monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Document detailed patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess the learning needs of patients and families, providing necessary education and identifying available resources.
Job Requirements : Education / Skills
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.Experience
1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
BLS certification required.Active RN License in the state of employment or compact.Work Schedule : PRN
