Accountant Role At Kimball Electronics

The accountant role in Kimball Electronics Headquarters will assist the controller to maintain and provide financial transactions and information in accordance with accounting principles as needed to support the business. This person will also perform analysis of financial data and participate in the tasks contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting. The accountant serves as a key team member of the finance team. This team member is responsible for maintaining and providing financial transactions and information in accordance with accounting principles as needed to support the business. In this role, you will also perform analysis of financial data and participate in the tasks contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting.

Basic Background Requirements : Ability to work with all levels of the organization and with multiple cultures, strong systems orientation, 4-year degree in accounting or related area, minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization with ERP and SAP experience. We also seek someone who has strong investigative and problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, the ability to work independently, the willingness to take initiative. The candidate must be efficient using computer applications including advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. This position is located in our Corporate Headquarters, located in Jasper, Indiana. We will also consider candidates that want to work hybrid.

Performance Profile Objectives :

0-3 months :

• Learn and adopt Kimball Electronics philosophies and culture
• Understand company-wide processes, business reporting tools and finance systems while looking for opportunities to improve
• Learn Fixed Asset accounting tasks, Freight cost allocations, Consignment inventory settlements, Internal Control
