Job Summary
Perform routine care, provide for the comfort of the patient, and communicate according to protocol, the CNA acts as a key link in the healthcare team.
Reports to : Director, PCU
Hourly Range : $20.50 - $30.43 (posted hourly range excludes overtime and bonuses which are not guaranteed)

Minimum Requirements
Education : High School Diploma or the equivalent
Experience, Training, Knowledge
One (1) year inpatient experience preferred, ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
Ability to read, write and speak English - this is for the purpose of transcribing and communicating approved providers orders at a level generally acquired via a high school education
Physical Requirements
Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling up to fifty (50) pounds; stooping, kneeling, and / or crouching; standing and walking more than five (5) hours per day; visual acuity in order to correctly distinguish skin tone variations, evidence of IV infiltration, infection, also to read telemetry, blood pressure gauges, etc.; audio acuity, in order to correctly distinguish various body sounds, i.e. respiration's, heart sounds, bowel sounds, also to discern sounds made by various types of machinery or equipment which would indicate dangerous or improper operation.
Working Conditions / Environmental Exposures
Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious / communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and / or radioactive materials and / or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing / equipment may be necessary.

ASH IMMUNIZATIONS AND VACCINATIONS REQUIREMENTS - Aligns with CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare Personnel
Hepatitis B- Lab evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B or three doses Hep B vaccine at appropriate intervals
Influenza- mandatory from November 1st through March 31st each year
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella - Lab evidence of immunity to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR Vaccination
Varicella (chickenpox) - Lab evidence of immunity to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine
Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) - documented proof of immunization
Tuberculosis Screening- All new-hires undergo a two-step TB skin test
