Responsibilities Hospital-based role at a Level III trauma and teaching hospital Care for a diverse patient population including adult medical / surgical, cardiac, orthopedic, and potentially pediatric patients Typical caseload is 14-16 patients per day, depending on unit assignment Day shift schedule, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, 40 hours per week Floating to any unit as needed No weekend rotation or on-call requirements Travelers are expected to work all holidays unless time off is approved in contract Utilizes EPIC EMR and Rover Chat, with Careport experience preferred Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, and working with vulnerable populations including the homeless Collaborate with a supportive team including directors, managers, social workers, and the UM team Department culture emphasizes teamwork and clear communication with supportive leadership and educators Orientation lasts 2-5 days and is tailored to experience and comfort level Navy blue scrubs are required First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Free parking is available Requirements Active NC or compact state RN license BSN required Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Case Management Must have previous travel experience as an RN Case Manager BLS certification required Case Management certification preferred EPIC EMR experience required Proficiency in placement for SNF, IPR, LTAC, Hospice, Home Health, DME, Behavioral Health, and complex discharge planning Strong assessment, care coordination, and discharge planning skills Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613339.
