The Role

In the role of VP of Software Engineering Excellence, you will be instrumental in shaping our overall software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensuring consistent application of high engineering standards across our organization. You will serve as a central authority for engineering governance, release management, and AI integration in our software development efforts.

Your Responsibilities Include :

• Cross-Functional Leadership : Collaborate with various teams such as Product Management, Security, and Architecture to influence best practices and establish a framework for success.
• Engineering Governance & Standards : Define and enforce rigorous development standards and quality metrics that ensure high-quality outcomes and compliance across PODs.
• Release & Deployment Management : Establish clear processes for deploying and releasing software, reducing risk while enhancing flexibility.
• Quality Engineering & Test Automation : Drive the adoption of testing ownership among developers, while enabling QA to focus on governance and tooling.
• AI-Driven Engineering Transformation : Develop and implement a roadmap for AI integration in our engineering processes, promoting efficiency and innovation.
• Compliance, Security & Risk : Embed security protocols within the development lifecycle to maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Architecture Governance & Enablement : Work with engineering leads to ensure that architectural decisions meet scalability and security requirements.
• Authority & Decision Rights : Maintain oversight of the SDLC, ensuring adherence to defined engineering best practices and governance policies.
