Network Operations Engineer (Onsite, 9pm - 7am, Sun-Weds)

Schedule : Sunday-Wednesday, 9 : 00 p.m.7 : 00 a.m. EST

Were seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer to support and maintain complex, high-security network environments. This position is onsite at a client facility in Martinsburg, WV and requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance .

Key Responsibilities

Manage and resolve service requests through a ticketing system.

Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls using command line interface.

Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using network management tools .

Support the configuration of ACL rules, VPNs, and firewall security for enterprise-level operations.

Collaborate with operations teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient connectivity across sites.

Basic Qualifications

HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of IT / networking experience , or Bachelors in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering and 5+ years of experience .

Ability to configure Cisco devices via CLI.

Experience using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, nGenius).

Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance .

Ability to earn one of the following within 6 months of hire : CCENT, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE .

Preferred Experience

Configuring Palo Alto ACL rules and site-to-site VPNs using Cisco devices.

Experience with Cisco ASDM, NetScaler, Citrix Access Gateway , or Cisco AnyConnect VPN .

Knowledge of multi-area OSPF, BGP, and MPLS topologies.

Familiarity with packet capture and analysis tools on Palo Alto firewalls.

This is an 11-month contract with the possibility of extension.
