Job Summary / Description

The Ocala Bureau Reporter / MMJ will research, write, videotape, and edit general assignment stories for broadcast and the web.

Responsibilities

• Suggest viable story ideas daily at meetings
• Receive assignments or evaluate news leads / tips to develop story ideas
• Gather and verify factual information through interviews, observation, and research
• Organize material, determine slant or emphasis, and write stories according to editorial style and format standards
• Shoot video and still photos for the web, as required, to illustrate stories
