Staff Security Engineer

A company is looking for a Staff Security Engineer contractor to assist with security controls and risk reduction activities.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for systems, applications, and processes, recommending mitigations and prioritizing remediation efforts

Design, implement, and test internal controls in response to identified risks while partnering with auditors

Translate enterprise security policies into actionable controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in the IT industry with strong knowledge of cybersecurity and cloud security services

Practical experience with Identity and Access Management, Mobile Device / Application Management, Data Loss Prevention, and Endpoint Detection and Response

Experience in risk management, IT Compliance, and Information Security assessments

Experience with compliance efforts such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI, GxP, SOC2, ISO27001, and ISO27002

B.S. in technology-focused fields is helpful, along with real-world experience in software development or engineering operations
